G01 Curing Agent

描述

Brand: Shushan GS01 Hardener

A curing agent for use with PU adhesives. The hardener accelerates the curing time of the adhesive and enhances its bonding strength, resulting in higher and more precise adhesion performance.

Weight: 900g

(Desmodur RFE Hardener) is a light-colored, multi-purpose crosslinking agent primarily used for bonding light-colored materials with natural rubber and synthetic rubber, as well as a crosslinking agent for hydroxyl-terminated polyurethane adhesives, offering excellent adhesion.

Product Description:
Chemical composition: Solution of tris(p-isocyanatophenyl) thiophosphate in ethyl acetate

Isocyanate content (%)(1): 7.2±0.2
Appearance: Transparent yellowish-brown liquid (product color is not related to quality)
Solid content (%): Approx. 24
Density: (retained as per original)

Storage Stability:
RFE must be stored in sealed containers. Whenever transferring the product from one container to another, moisture (including atmospheric moisture) must be excluded. Therefore, when small quantities are to be used frequently, they should not be taken from large shipping containers but rather from specially designed bottles of appropriate size.

In addition to the original container, screw-top containers made of aluminum or glass are particularly suitable for storing RFE. Suitable lids include screw caps with sealing gaskets. Gaskets made of materials that release alkaline substances are not suitable.
Storing the product at low temperatures may cause crystal formation, but gradual warming (to room temperature) will dissolve the crystals.

Product Safety:
RFE consists of polyisocyanate (low volatility) and ethyl acetate (volatile and flammable). Therefore, precautions appropriate for flammable organic solvents must be taken. Fumes generated during the application of adhesives containing RFE must be removed using exhaust ventilation to ensure no risk of inhalation.

Compatibility with Solvents:
Suitable solvents for diluting RFE include: methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, and toluene. All these solvents must be free of water and alcohol.

Applications:
Properly formulated two-component adhesives have a limited pot life after the addition of RFE and must be used before expiration. The above-mentioned pot life depends not only on the polymer content of the adhesive but also on other components such as resins, antioxidants, and solvents.
After the pot life expires, its duration typically ranges from several hours to one working day. The adhesive becomes increasingly difficult to process, its viscosity rises rapidly, and the formulation eventually undergoes irreversible gelation.

Recommended Addition Ratio:
GS01 contains ethyl acetate with a density of 0.90 g/cm³, which is lighter than methylene chloride (contained in RF, density 1.34 g/cm³). RFE is more concentrated than RF (RFE approx. 24%; RF approx. 20%). Therefore, if GS01 is used as a replacement for RF, there is no need to change the small-package volume content or the volumetric ratio used by end users when measuring the adhesive. If measuring by weight, the amount of GS01 added should be reduced by approximately 25%.
